Treated myself a little for my birthday. Bought a tin of baked apple hojicha from a tea shop. Trying to find even plain hojicha is hard enough, but a flavoured variety? Hell yeah. The shop even made me a latte of it for free, when I mentioned it was my birthday. I also picked up a cherry vanilla scented candle that smells gorgeous, because I felt like a mooch around the Metro Centre for the first time in basically forever & Yankee Candle was having a half-price sale on everything.
I also treated myself to a few pairs of socks. The fact that this is a treat is wild as they're just plain black socks. But they're £17 per pair so yeah. But they are the only option if you want actual cotton socks. They still have polyamide in them, but only 2% (plus 2% elastane), when you're lucky to find anything less than 20% elsewhere. Genuinely do not understand why people want to cover their feet in plastic, but that's the world we live in, I guess. They're actually properly shaped to feet & have a left & right pair, which is interesting. So I'm sitting wearing my fancy socks & sipping my fancy tea while my fancy candle males the room smell nice.
